DISSOLVING (HYALURONIDASE)

Here at The Aesthetic Collective we offer dermal filler dissolving. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid.

Some reasons for dissolving of dermal fillers:

  • Over filled
  • The filler has moved or spread to other areas
  • Lumps and unevenness of dermal filler result
  • Asymmetrical result
  • To change the desired shape
  • Allergic reaction: swelling
  • Infection

When coming to your appointment with The Aesthetic Collective, you will initially be greeted & welcomed into clinic.

We will carry out a full consultation in which i will asses the area you are looking to have dissolved and discuss your concerns and goals.

For this treatment a Patch test is required prior to procedure as there is a small chance of allergic reaction of Hyaluronidase. We will inject a small amount of the hyaluronidase to your inner wrist to eliminate risk of allergic reaction.

We will then numb the area to be treated with a topical anaesthetic.

Once we rule out the risk of reaction from the patch test and the anaesthetic takes effect, we will then start the procedure. This procedure will be carried out using a needle. The Hyaluronidase will immediately dissolve some of the filler and continue to work for up to 7 days.

Due to possible swelling of the area this may not be seen straight away and we advise to allow up to two weeks for that to settle.

After the procedure is complete we will go over the aftercare and what to expect after the treatment.

If you are looking to re book for filler in the area of dissolving, it is advised to wait two weeks post treatment.
