LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Here at The Aesthetic Collective we offer laser hair removal to Adults over the age of 18, any persons under 18 are required to have signed parental permission. Using a diode laser that incorporates multiple wavelengths and technologies allows us to treat all skin types.

Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that emits a light (laser) that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the hair follicles that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.

Laser hair removal usually doesn’t result in permanent hair removal, it effectively delays hair growth for long periods which results in permanent hair reduction.

Multiple laser hair removal treatments are needed for initial hair removal, and maintenance treatments might be needed as well. Treatments should be spaced 4-6 weeks for the face & 6-8 weeks for the body. The number of treatments will be different for each individual, this could be depending on the area being treated, the skin type & how thick & dense the hair is. You will need at least 6-12 sessions.

A patch test is required a minimum of 48hours before any laser treatment. We will carry out a full consultation during this appointment in which we will discuss what to expect from the treatment, pre/ post requirements, we will go over any questions you may have & your goals. Please note, not all clients are a suitable candidate for laser hair removal, these factors will be determined from your consultation & patch test. Please note, You can not have laser hair removal if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have epilepsy, vitiligo, high blood pressure or uncontrolled diabetes.
